Discovery does not whant to pay!!!

My son needs an arthroscopy on hes knee. Authorisation for the operation was declined due to the fact that Discovery will ONLY pay for and OPEN KNEE surgery that is outdated. I took my son to authorized Discovery Orthopaedic Surgeons and even they say that kind of surgery is OUTDATED and is NOT recommendable for a 17 year old child!
What I do not understand is the aftercare for an Arthroscopy is also less painful and dramatic and money wise cheaper! Why doesn't Discovery want to save money?
According to the above information, I would tell everybody to strongly reconsider your membership with Discovery Health Keycare.
Discovery is not keeping up to date with surgical procedures. This is shocking as they profess to be the leaders in the Medical Aid Field!
