I am on the Nedgroup Medical Aid plan, which is part of Medscheme. I am on the platinum plan. I will be having a c-section and required information. Becuase it states in the Medical Aid Guide that this plan qualifies 4 private wards. So i called sunninghill hospital and was told they charge a standard rate of R1300 for a private ward. So my question was what portion of R1300 does my medical aid cover. I was told firstly they can't tell me as they look at the final bill and negotiate the rate. Then I am told now that i have to pay the R1300 which is an additional cost per night. When i call the hospital they inform me that this is not an additional cost but the rate of a private ward. Which brings me to my question wht does this medical cover?
Please don't bother calling me. Becuase u have so much that email correspondence is best as i have proof of everything. No 1 seems to be saying the same thing everyone has a different view of what is correct and what is not. So who do i beleive. Also i was told that i need to make provision for extra cost... that is none of your business wht provisions i need to make... i asked a question try and answer that questions.
