Waste of money

I was so excited to sign up with Discovery Health Medical Aid, until I heard that if you need a Scan or MRI, you need to be booked into hospital the night before to have one, otherwise they will not pay for it.
This is not only a waste of hospital beds, but a huge waste of money. WHY??? When the scan only takes maximum of 2 hours to do.
I HATE HOSPITALS, so now will not join Discovery when I heard this.

I am soo disappointed, as I wanted to sign up today with them.
Please can they explain their reasoning to this waste of time and money,

I would appreciate a manager calling to let me know their thinking in this process, as it intrigues me why they would want to waste such money on having you book into hospital for a 2 hour procedure, which other medical aid companies do not demand you do.
