Dentist left me nerve damaged and no aftercare

Health & Medicine

I consulted Dr Fourie for a wisdom tooth extraction on 7.10.13.

On the 9.10.13, I was not feeling well and still was numb and irritable. I went to see Dr Fourie on the 9, 10.13, he diagnosed me with an infection in the tooth socket (where tooth was extracted).
NB: Infection control was charged in the tooth extraction bill from the 7.10.13.

He removed the infection (Dr noted it would be painful regardless of the anesthetic that was administered). I was called by the Dr's administrator to come back and pay for the follow up consultation - this is in addition to the tooth extraction bill and prescribed medicine. On 18.10.13 - I was extremely irritable, numb and sore - I couldn't freely move my tongue as it would stretch the stiff nerves. On this consultation, Dr Fourie told me he would call me once weekly to check on my condition - this has never happened. He also noted there was nothing he could do for me at the time. Dr's office kept calling for the payment. I consulted another dentist that confirmed never damage, on 31.01.14 I went to Medicross and presented the other dentist letter and was told to ignore the bill. I want answers and compensation.
