No Keycare hospital cover for epilepsy patients

A year ago Discovery declined an application for hospital admission because there are no Keycare neurologists in Cape Town Keycare hospitals. I had encephalopathy and was told by the phone consultant that to receive emergency hospital care I would need to be unconscious or bleeding. That was that. As a result of inadequate care, I have permanent damage that has diminished my quality of life severely. I currently need to be admitted to hospital again for epilepsy treatment and was again declined on the basis that there aren't Keycare neurologists working at Keycare hospitals despite the fact that I am having seizures and am prone to status epilepticus, which is potentially fatal. If Keycare Plus takes on epilepsy patients, they should inform us before we take out cover that we will not receive in-hospital care. Anything less is not only irresponsible but can alter a person's life irrevocably.
