Hotel Closure

Booked and paid Daddys Deal 2 nights incl breakfast at the Pearl of Wilderness Hotel in September, for 2 adults and 1 child. Booked in 6 out 08 Dec, got to the hotel at quarter to 5, hotel in darkness. A very nice lady who rents a space at the hotel came over and told us that the Sheriff of the court came around the previous day and closed them down. She called the owner from her cellphone on my behalf but he would not speak to me. I was told Karen a lady from the hotel would meet me in 5 minutes. When she arrived she told us that they had phoned all forward bookings but obviously not me! She told me to get a refund back from Daddys Deals. Tried in vain to get hold of Daddys deals but it was just after 5 and they do not work on the weekend. In the meantime we were stuck - Jacques from Wild Info was a great help phoning 5 places to try and get us accommodation but they were already full - in the end we stayed at the very nice George Caravan park in a chalet but this was an expense we were not expecting. I have been the travel industry for over 20 years and have never been more let down in my OWN country! The Wilderness has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
