Docter has not been paid for 6 months!!

My account has not been paid since 23 November 2012. We got authorisation for the removal of my son's tonsils. The account has been submitted several times since then. They told us that they have not received the claim, so we resubmitted each time. The last time being 18 April 2013. They confirmed that they received the claim and that it will be paid. We phoned today to find out about the payment, where we got the answer that payment is rejected because we submitted too late. No hospitalisation or Docter visits has been paid, and the beginning of this year, they stopped paying our docter without any notice. When we phoned to find out about the payments, they said that he is not on their network anymore and that we will have to pay him ourselves.
