On Saturday 13 Apri I had booked a room to share with 2 friends. We stayed overnight and checked out the following morning at about 11h15 am. We were rushed while checking out and we left 2 winter jackets, worth about R4000 in value. We remembered just 2 hours later that we had left the jackets. I then called the lady at the reception desk by the name of Crisenda and she had a seriously bad attitude. They were really not willing to help us locate the jackets and after some persuasion, they checked and found that our jackets were missing. Crisenda told us that we had signed the indemnity form which excuses them from any guest property lost and that we were to claim it back from our insurance.

For a lodge I would have expected them to take good care of their customers and to assist any way they can when customers have left their stuff behind. Instead we were treated very badly and were accused of lying about leaving our jackets behind.

The jackets dissapeared to thin air and yet the cleaner was standing right outside the door when we left. Her name is Kgomotso and she denies ever seeing any jackets in the room.
