Misleading Promotion

On 27/10/2013 my wife and I visited CUM Somerset Mall branch with the intent of purchasing some winter jackets for our trip to London and Cardiff early in November. After we selected the jackets we proceeded to the till to pay. We were then informed that if we had an account they could give us x-amount off on the purchase if we spend over a certain amount. I said that i do not have an account and they then proceeded to open one for me. The same day I got an e-mail saying I have been approved. A day or so later I went to the branch to collect my card. As I have paid for the jackets in full (R3098) I asked if instead of crediting my transaction and re invoicing it, if it would be possible to give me vouchers. No problem - and I was handed " vouchers" to the value of R600.On the 2nd Nov. I went to the shop and wanted to purchase a shirt with my vouchers, only to be told they are not vouchers and in order for me to get the value, I have to spend that amount again!!! I explained that this was not what I was informed, close my account, and left in a state. They should at least given back my R600 that I qualified for. NEVER AGAIN WILL THESE SKELLUMS SEE US. MISLEADING PROMOTION!
