REQUESTED ASSISTANCE ON BENEFIT AVAILABLE

In December 2013 my mother had a valve replaced in her heart. On discharge we were to have a healthcare worker assist my mother at home hence the reason for my query as to what benefit was available for this.
I was informed by the consultant that there is a step down facility. This was to enable my mother to go into a convalescing type centre close to home with a physiotherapist and doctor on site who tended to her on a daily basis. This facility, no doubt, enabled her to recover quicker than had she been sent home without having hands-on experience of caring for her. Had it not been for the consultant at Bonitas who referred us to this benefit and all those at Panarama Hospital and Spescare in the Strand for the excellent way that this and my mother was taken care of.
