Persuaded to open a cheq acc under false benefits

My mother payed a visit to ABSA bank accompanied by my sister, for her savings account had expired. They then proceeded to see an available consultant to discuss the renewal of her account. The consultant athand then informs my mother that a cheque account would benefit her financially more than a savings account. The consultant then continued to explain that my mother will get unlimited free swipes on her cheque account and everytime she swipes, whether it be at a garage or out shopping she will be remunerated with points on every swipe made and all my mother had to do was pay a set subscription fee towards a cheque account'which my mother proceeded with. Six months later (today) my mother went to find out how many points she had accumulated so far. The consultant then phoned the head office and found out that the swiping points will only be rewarded for swiping in only on of two chain stores that are affiliated with ABSA'S special offer. I am disgusted that employees in such a reputable organization have to resort to lying to a loyal client who has been with this bank over a decade and makes that client feel delusional and incompetent when quering about services offered. await
