Jessica's B&B and Self Catering in Umhlanga displays complete false advertising - when we arrived to see that the room was absolutely nothing like the pictures on the website, we were rudely refused our deposit back.

The place has 4 units on the property & we were in unit 4 - an absolute dump. A makeshift unit with no windows (because of this, the entire unit is SO DARK & lights are needed in the middle of the day), a drainpipe in the "kitchen" which flooded when it rained, plugs lying in water, faulty electricity etc. When we attempted to use the oven it blew the plugs as well as my friend's cellphone charger, which literally exploded in front of him. She did not reimburse him for the R649 it cost him to replace this charger, even after admitting it was the oven that caused this. He could have been really hurt as well; luckily he only had a small burn on his hand.
