On the 17/12/2013 my mum had to be admitted at the hospital for HBP. This was the first time that i my family had to undergo such a traumatic experience. She was admitted in ICU for the hospital to stablise her & spent 2 & a half days there before being transferred to another hospital for an angiogram & had to have a stent installed. Again she was admitted in ICU & spent another 2 & a half days there. A week later she was readmitted for a mild stroke. This was rather stressful on us the family. Besides the visiting of the patient & other chores that we had to be done, the one thing that we did not have to worry about was the medical bills for my mum's health care. The discovery case report team exceeded my expectations by being in constant contact with me & keeping me updated on how the medical bills were being taken care of. This for me was rather overwhelming. Being put at ease & knowing that everything is being taken care of was a huge relief. Thank you Discovery for being there when my family & i needed you the most!
