Co-payments

I have a Discovery medical aid. When I found out that I was pregnant i phoned Discovery to find out cover and they told me if I go to doctor that is on the network they will charge me the rate that they agreed on. But phoned almost all the Dr on the network they all have co-payment.
What I don't understand why do I have to pay medical every month and now I still have to pay when I want to use it. No im forced to go to a public hospital for delivery, I don't see a point of keep paying it!!
