Didn't action my cancellation request

I phoned Discovery in October 2013 to cancel my medical aid at the end of January 2013, I checked my MSA online today and saw I had a year's worth of savings. I phoned and was told that I phoned a week too early in October to cancel for 2014!!! Hu? I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then told to phone back in the morning. I requested that they rather phone me back as I actioned this months ago and they had failed to cancel my account. The response was that it would be requested but it is unlikely that anyone would phone me. This is really bad service from Discovery.
