A claim from 2012 was not claimed

In May 2012 my little girl was very sick in hospital. Many tests were done and according to my statements that i got back from my med aid was paid. Now about three weeks ago I suddenly get an sms from an attorney that i have been handed over. I called and was told my med aid never paid for certain procedures, I replied that it is impossible as they always send me a statement with everything paid and unpaid and reason. Needless to say between moto health and lancet they actually told me that i am going to have to pay an account of over R4000.00 because of there faulty admin. And then they said with paperless claim there is no proof that it was submitteed to the medical aid.
