I recently moved from one company to another. they just had to transfer my details from one company to another. This request was on the 4th of December already. On the 9th of December i had to drive my son with severe abdominal pain, fever and vomiting to the Emfuleni Medi clinic. When the hospital phoned for an authorization number we were just told my membership has been suspended. I was told that the billing does not operate on weekends etc. Meanwhile my son is having fever fits in the reception of the hospital. I had to provide discovery with my bank details so that they can admit my son to hospital. this process took over 2 hours. Today (11th of december) one of the discovery reps at the hospital visited my wife, She complained about this and the reps answer was it must have been the new company at fault. as soon as she explained that it was discovery at fault she was told that anybody can make a mistake. Is this the answer that you would give when somebody dies as well? they are just worried about their money. I had to threaten them with the court to get some service out of them while the whole of the reception is listening in...
