In Hospital X Rays on a Sunday

I have a Discovery Hospital Plan, authorization was given for admission to Worcester Medi Clinic on the 16th January 2013. The attending Surgeon ordered a Cat Scan on Sunday the 20th January which was performed. The account was debited with R730.00 for an "after hours call out" which Discovery refused to pay in terms of the rules,
Medi Clini offers 24 hour emergency service. What happens at midnight if you are involved in a car accident and land up in a Medi Clinic where radiography is needed at that time of night. Radiography services are contracted out to suppliers who hire rooms from the Hospital and are accessed via internal passageways. Medi Clinc should amend their terms of contract to "In House" suppliers to ensure that 24 hour cover is available and Discovery Health Members BE AWARE that you will end up paying as your Hospital plan will not cover these " After Hours Call Out" charges- even when they have given an authorization number.
