I am on the Liberty Bona Plus medical Aid scheme which after signing with Liberty, the company who you are actually bound to. Liberty is done with you, they from then on and cannot help you.

You are restricted to a network doctors, which is fine, but when calling to find a specialist in your area - they can't provide any information! How ridiculous?? I am pregnant and now need an OBGYN - so I call to find out if there is one at the hospital I'd like to deliver at and they can't tell me because the only way their system allows them to find such information is by having a practise number. But that would mean I've already found a Doc - you actually need to call each Doc to find out whether they're on the network. Because their system does not allow this kind of search. Is it just me or is that entirely ridiculous??!?!

From what I've gathered, there are no OBGYNs at the hospitals on their network approved hospitals - because both the OB and the hospital needs to be approved. I then called again today to get some further information - and I'm kept on hold so long that i run out of airtime. No callback - even though I just gave them my account number.

Terrible service!
