Not impressed with hotel

Dear Protea Hotels. My wife and me stayed at The Bay Shore Inn in Richards Bay over the period 27 - 29 December 2013 in room 318. On the morning of the 28th of December we went out of the hotel and returned after lunch to find that our room had not been cleaned. Only the old towels had been removed. I tried to call reception and housekeeping by means of the telephone in the room - but it did not seem to work. I then walked to reception to complain. Later on, after 14H00, a lady cleaned the dustbin and did some cleaning of the bathroom. After 15H00 clean towels were brought to our room. Also, I took pictures of the mirror hanging directly above the toilet instead of over the handbasin. I battled to shave, having to shave over the toilet bowl in order to look into the mirror. Is this the standard that Protea Hotels portrays? My wife and me were quite disappointed with the service and the hotel did not meet our expectations...
