We called the medical aid on a Saturday 19th November to get authorisation to book my child int a rehab centre for 3 weeks. They could not assist as it was weekend, I followed up on Monday morning, the advised no they had to get authority and a motivational letter from my Doctor which they duley got on the Tuesday. I have subsequently been phoning the medical aid every day for approval and to this date I still have had no response from Medical Aid. I have subsequently paid my portion of the Treatment and sent him down to ARCA on the 21st of November. He is due to come home next week and I still have no approval from the medical aid.. I ask you with tears in my eyes what else is a person supposed to do!!! do we just sit back and keep paying these huge medical aid bills when we are supposed to be covered???
