Disappointing meal at DK Burge

After having heard so much about DK Burger, we chose it as a special venue for my mom's birthday. I wish we hadn't. The service was underwhelming, and the ambience was greatly disappointing, with music that overpowered any conversation. The beer selection was good (possibly the only positive of my experience), but the burgers were the greatest letdown of all. First we had to send them back because they were entirely undercooked. Although we asked for medium, they were only seared on the outside. The worst was the meat itself. The rib-eye patties were flavourless, and contained lengths of unappetising sinew. The wedges were ok, but the chips were oily and soggy - not at all the accompaniment we hoped for. We were not the only table to return food, I noticed. Upon complaining, we were told that the patties contained those 'bits' because they were cut by hand. My only thought is that it must have been a particularly blunt blade they used. The manager was rude and not very helpful. I will be sticking to Ed's in the future if I want a good gourmet burger, but frankly, even a Wimpy burger would have been better - at least they're served with a smile and professionalism.
