Life at risk, executive office thinks of scheme

I posted a complaint about a procedure with typical/normal circumstances shouldn't be a problem with the meds being used, however, I am highly allergic to many meds and the suggestion was to do it in a theatre environment which Discovery state can be done in a specialists practice rooms. If I want it in hospital then I must pay a further R2300 to be safe!!! I get the response back from supposedly the executive office: "go for the procedure, pay the R2300 if you wish, whatever the findings are and if you have further procedures, we will then pay for those in full!! " WHAT NONSENSE. If I have to go in for a further procedure it will in any case be a hospital procedure and you don't have a choice, you would have to pay in full anyway. It's part of my plan benefits. Which are supposed to be the best, but obviously not!! So a person pays over R100k a year for medical aid but lets always make sure that we have the best interests of the SCHEME at heart and we stick to the SCHEME RULES at ALL times, never mind that we would prefer to put the patient's life at risk!!! Absolutely pathetic response. Check your file history. Procedure cancelled. Let's hope nothing happens while we argue!!!
