I sent in a claim for a Neurologist in January. They came back to say that there were codes missing but they would get them from the doctor and process the claim. They didn't do so. When eventually I realised that nothing had been done, I got the codes from the doctor and resubmitted the claim.

Despite clearly stating on the email that this was a resubmission of a claim already submitted it was rejected as being too late. More phone calls, more waste of time. In short I have been battling now since January to get this resolved. Now they tell me they want more codes from the doctor.

I am firmly of the view that this is a deliberate strategy on the part of Discovery to avoid payment. It is impossible to get hold of anyone at the call centre with any sense. All that they can tell you is that it has been "escalated". Even they don't know what "escalated" means.
