One month, 10 calls later

From the 7th of June 2013 I have been trying to get a scan authorized for an op that I need to have done. I submitted the codes set out as per my specialist to Discovery, as requested after they rejected the same codes from the radiographers. Discovery then requested a motivational letter from my doctor, which i got and sent through. I was told that it would have to go to their medical review team to make a decision. A month and 10 (30min) calls later I still have no answer. Each time i call, i get a different answer. "It is with medical review", "It is with our standards department", "it is with so and so doctor". I don't see why i need to keep following up on Discovery if they are the people questioning the diagnosis of my specialist. If they are questioning a diagnisis, PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THE DOCTOR!!! I have also lodged a formal complaint to the South African Council for Medical Schemes with ALL my reference numbers for ALL my calls. Discovery has clearly got too many fingers in too many pies and don't give a about their members.
