Discovery - Cancellation of medical aid

I'm writing this email on behalf of my brother, who is a recent member of Discovery Health, the reason being that he has just started a new job and medical aid. I was shocked to learn that his medical aid was ubruptly and might I add, very rudely cancelled due non-disclosure by a Fatima from the forensics department.

He was recently diagnosed (14/01/2013) by a neuro-specialist and has to undergo back surgery - the non-disclosure being a visit to a GP in October 2012 as a private pasient for a muscle spasm and getting an injection. No scans were performed, no tests done, and he was quite unaware of the condition until diagnosed this month with a problem that needed surgery. "Fatima" called him this afternoon to inform him of the cancellation of his medial aid, and as he was trying to explain the situation, the phone was slammed in his ear. After an unsuccessful atempt to contact the forensic dept., we decided to send this email to see if they would have the decency and humility to contact us again and hear the full story, hoping that they would reconcider.
