I joined Discovery on the 1 December 2012. Late March 2013 I found out that I have a peptic ulcer after going to a specialist. I need to go for an operation and so I booked a date for it. Discovery then said that they are trowing me of the aid for non-disclosure. According to them I knew about my condition before I went on the medical aid. I have letters from my GP stating that I couldn't have known about this before hand. Discovery has really got a very bad attitude towards their members. They don't listen to reason and they don't mind putting us a difficult situation. Now me and my family has to go on a waiting period for a new medical aid. I've been on medical aid for at least 7 years running. Since moving to Discovery it has been a total nightmare. I can't believe that they are doing this to me as I didn't do anything wrong. Now they are deducting money from my account without authorisation and when I phone them nobody knows whats going on. What am I supposed to do???
