I'm a Discovery member since 2007 before that I was on Umed for 15 yrs. For nine years I'm on Eltroxin and Tertroxin, which you pay and now all of a sudden you dont' pay for the Tertroxin. I'm using those medication for my T3, T4 and TSH. Now my Dr put me on Diotroxin and and Euthyrox, when I phoned chronic dept they told me that they only going to pay R40 for both. NOW WHY AM I ON A MEDICAL AID AND PAYING A OF A LOT EACH MONT AND IT DOES NOTHING TO MY MEDICAL PROBLEM. ITS ALL ABOUT BUSSINESS AND NOT FOR THE MEMBERS. I DID NOT ASKED TO HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION. I EVEN CAN'T BUY TOILET PAPER FOR R40.00. YOU DISCOVERY YOU . AND THE WORST THING IS THE CHOICE WAS NOT OURS TO CHOOSE MEDICAL AID. ITS TIME THAT WE STAND UP AGAINTS MEDICAL AIDS LIKE DISCOVERY - AND PLEASE DON'T EVEN TRY TO EXPLAIN I DON'T WHANT TO HEAR THAT!!! PMB CONDITION SHOULD BE PAID IN FULL AND NOT PART PAY.

Even for my son's Ritalin they don't pay at all. When I phoned in and asked wheather they going to pay for it, the person said that they don't pay for it because its a business decision. You can go and learn by other m/aids how to do business. Even Gems are better than you at this moment.
