I was listed by these people for something that I was never advised about. I request for my DISCOVERY card limit to be increased, I am told it was declined due to my credit score.. only when i queried this was i told that the increase request was declined due to a default I have on my name!!! I HIT THE ROOF... I have always taken pride in my payments, in fact I am almost OCD about it.
I called in and after a few 'please hold while i confirm with my supervisor' i was told it was due to my savings being exhausted and when i changed plans (job change) I responsible for the deficit. Firstly - i didn't even know this existed and secondly and most importantly DISCOVERY made no effort to contact me before handing me over. I was told that 3 letters were posted to me - I had advised of my address change a few times. My records are on their books through my new cover AND my dicovery card!! When I ask to pay the amount due i was sent the docs wihtout an amount, i called in to get the amount. I pay this, & after i don't hear anything after a week i follow up and am told i paid R117 too little. WHAT?? i was given an amount, how can i be inconvenienced due to their incompetence - AGAIN?!!!
