BLACKLISTED WITHOUT FORMAL NOTIFICATION!!!

To my shock and horror I discovered yesterday when drawing my transunion credit report that Discovery put a default on my credit profile for an outstanding balance. It is clearly stated in black and white that they send me a letter which I would like to dispute as I have never received a letter. My husband was contacted for the first time 10 Sept by the agency it has been handed to. The agency stated that they received the request from Discovery on 10 Sept. The amount was immediately transferred and paid over to them. Proof of payment attached. I have been a loyal Discovery health client for around 8 years and only moved because my husband started working for a company with a inhouse scheme. I really didn't expect to be treated so unfairly?? The gentleman who first made me aware of the amount that I will have to pay in should I terminate my membership (he actually tried to convince me not to do so), told me about the amount. I challenged it as I still had savings left and I demanded a detailed breakdown of how the calculations are done. I didn't hear back from him since. My family and I have been saving up for 1 year to buy a house in Jan 2014 and our dreams r now shattered.
