Rubbish Self Payment gap

I have been with Discovery on and off since 2002, blame job hopping. I thought i understood the scheme but have not been rudely surprised.

They have rejected some claims which i had to pay for (over R 6000) and they do not use this amount to reduce the self payment gap, and the reason is, i am not yet in the GAP. however through the year they has happy to INCREASE my selfpayment gap if i get certain over the counter medicines etc but i am not IN the gap. so this is just a ploy buy them to Win at all costs!

now I am expected to pay over R 5 500 out of pocket before i am covered again and more interesting when you are eventually in the GAP they will only calculate your claims at their rates!

I wish i had a choice to leave this rubbish scheme but tied in by my employer. tough luck
