Those who are unfortunate enough to have no other option but to be a member of Discovery will know exactly what it feels like to be messed around by the staff members of Discovery at the claims department.

Discovery on their Classic Priority Plan has a self payment gap that the member needs to pay as soon as the savings plan is depleted. During the course of May - June 2013 my saving was depleted and I've been sending my claims to the claims department via e-mail and every time I will receive a phone call or an e-mail from an stating the fax are unclear and that the amounts cannot be deducted from myself payment gap.

I've send yet again a claim to be deducted from myself payment gap on the 28th of June 2013 where an phoned me to state that they don't know what to do with it, even though I've explained that I've paid for it and that the amounts should be deducted from myself payment gap, resend it on the 1st of July 2013 and yet another msg stating that my fax is unclear.

This is clearly a way for Discovery to delay the payment process.

If this matter is not sorted by the end of this week I will file a formal complaint against you at the Council for Medical Scheme
