Claims not honourned

I submitted two claims to discovery health, I'm expecting for my self payment gap to reduce, yet the amount has not reduced. Instead I received two payments and the balance of the claims were not entertained. I would like to understand why these other claims have not been added to my self payment gap. Could someone please explain to me why cetain cliams are paid out, while others are not even used to reduce the self payment gap, the other issue issue to address is why then do I submit claims when you are not going to entertain any of the claims I had to pay from my own paocket
