Kalafong Hospital
Failed operation

I would like to report this. My grandma fell and broke her knee during december she went to Steve Biko hospital wher they told her they cant help her she has to go to kalafon hospital in pta west as she does not have medical aid. She waited for 4 hours for the ambulance to come and fetch her while she was waiting she did not recieve any treatment or pain stillers. As she arrived at kalaforn the admitted her and she layed there for 10 days waiting for a operation. They told her that they dont have enough people working. The docter finaly came to visit her and booked a operation. She was operated and sent home with a thing to bent the leg slowly. She had to go back every week to see the docter. Today she went for her check up and the doctor took xrays. And they made a mistake they have put in wires but no skrews. Apparently the doctor that did the operation did not have any experience and wants to book her in tommorow again to do the operation all over again. This is the service that can be expected from this hospital.
