Another wrong diagnosis

A friend told me complaints were posted against Terrace Rd vet. I feel an obligation to make public a similar situation that happened to my sister in May this year. I don't have dates & fine details and don't want to discuss this with my sister as she is still depressed. She took her 4 year old dog to Terrace Rd vet, he had a huge appetite but he wasn't eating much & had vomited. Dr Shabeer gave some meds. 2 days later she took him back as he stopped eating & had diarrhea. Dr Shabeer said he had gastro, he was admitted to hospital for a couple of days. She got a call to pick him up, that evening he didn't eat & just lay in his bed. On returning from work the next day her domestic told her he hadn't moved nor eaten. She rushed him to another vet for a second opinion. After some tests she was told he had "acute renal failure" the levels were very high. He was put on treatment for 48-hours but the readings did not improve, she had to euthanize her baby boy. 6 days can make a huge difference in renal failure, diagnosed correctly on the first visit she will never know if he could have been saved
