I went to Medicross Cape road in port elizabeth on Monday the 14th January 2013 with severe wrist pain. Dr Pilcher checked my wrist and said i needed to go for X rays as he thought i might have Osteo Arthritis. He did not check anything else (blood pressure, lungs ect) this being the first time i went to him he did not ask me if i was allergic to anything either. He then prescribed Celebrex 200mg. I have heard some terrible things about this medication and searched a bit about it.this medication is very bad for people with heart conditions, high blood pressure and very bad for people allergic to asprin (again let me remind you he did not ask or check any of these) i started having side affects with my birth control pill, i then contacted Dr Pilcher and only got through to his receptionist, who said she would phone me back.she phoned me back and said that the docotor dident tell me the Celebrex counter acts with my pill! I ask you now, is this not medical Negligence??
