Medihelp
Requires premium whilest under suspension

I would like to complain about Medihelp Medical Aid. I unfortunately missed one payment but from there onwards continuous payment was still made. However I was told that due to the one missed payment I will be suspended till payment for that month was paid. If continuous payment was made for my membership I don't feel it was fair that I was still held under suspension regardless of continual monthly payments afterwards. I was informed that the medical aid is the same as car insurance but according to me the differenace between medical aid and car insurance, if you miss a premium with car insurance you are not covered and if you pay the next month you are covered again and not suspended. With Medihelp you are suspended and can't make use off a service but still needs to pay the payment you missed.

I strongly feel that Medihelp should reimburse me for the premiums paid after suspension as I could not make use of their service. How can you pay for something you can not use.
