Worst Service Ever - Protea Hotel Midrand

We attended a seminar at Protea Hotel in Midrand, but decided to have breakfast before it started. We went to the restaurant where we stood waiting for someone to attend to us; nobody did - we sat down for another 5 minutes and still no one attended to us - the waiters/waitresses literally looked us in the faces and couldn't be bothered to provide us with even an inkling of service. We helped ourselves to the buffet (terrible tasting food to top it all off) and waited for someone to bring us a bill. This didn't happen either - before we left one of the staff on duty said I need to pay and charged me R310 for a bowl of cereal and some sausage. Had any of the staff actually attended to me as a customer, and informed me that the buffet breakfast would be R155 a head, I wouldn't have sat down to eat there anyway. Pathetic service, terrible food, bad staff attitudes - I will never again go to a Protea Hotel.
