Termination of Medical Aid

Due to my new job, i emailed GEMS enquiries on the 4th of June 2013 to terminate my GEMS Medical Aid (Emerald) with them, today on the 10th of June 2013, after not receiving any response from them, i called them this morning and their consultant told me to re-mail my termination and my termination will only be effective the end of July. My concern is, my email went through and from my site it says the email was sent early June but GEMS also said they have not received anything and thus i wont be terminated this month end. Thus i will contribute for my previous employers' contribution and mine this month and next month wherelse i have to contribute to my new medical aid.
