Struggling to get registered as a member

GEMS is a medical aid in SA. Before your can register with them you have to cancel your previous medical aid and have proof of that. I want coverage from them from the 1 st of August 2013. I've already sent a cancellation letter to my previous medical aid in June and got the cancellation certificate. On the 7th of July I sent the application forms by fax in order for it to be ready by the 1st of August. Ive sent the application forms in 3 times after that by e-mail, only to find out that they still needed forms that Ive already sent in. On the 31st of August I sent the medical certificate AGAIN en they assured me it will be processed within 48 hours. On the 6th I sent it AGAIN, they also told me it would be processed within 48hours again. Today (8th) they can't find any record of that e-mail with the medical certificate. I've sent it AGAIN with the promise we will see on Monday (12th Aug). I am now on NO medical aid and have to travel 600km this weekend on SA's very unsafe roads and I can do nothing about it.
