Georgiou Spa
Consumer protection act prepaid vouchers

Health & Medicine

I recently have been informed that there is a consumer protection act applicable
for prepaid vouchers. According to the new act no voucher is allowed to expire
within 3 year from the purchase date.
We bought a couple gift voucher to the value of R1950.00 at Georgiou Spa
the 13 December 2011 on the 18 July 2012, I asked to make a booking at
Georgiou Spa but I was informed that I can no longer us the voucher as the
6 months expired.
I have emailed Georgiou Spa twice with this information, I copied in the
Consumer act and the voucher but to date have received no response.
I even said, I would understand if I do not receive the full package offered
but to pay almost R2000 and to know that the law state I am entitled to
the receive the treatment I am very disappointed.
