Promised to follow up on bad service, never did

Dear Sir,
Last year we received a LG flat screen TV as a gift. It was secondhand and we knew that there was a problem with the on/off function. We called the official agent for LG in Polokwane.
The Quote was R1557.30 for the work to be done and R1600 was paid 09/07/2012 (Job 98213).
After some weeks the TV was delivered, and were assured it can be switched on and off as we please.
This was not the case. If the TV was switched off we had to unplug it and leave for a couple of hours and then with some luck it will come on again.
We sent the TV back as we were not satisfied that the problem was solved.
Again it took a good number of weeks to be returned and was delivered to our house personally by one of the ladies working there. She told us in no uncertain terms that it is fixed when she plugged it in at our house it went on. Now this will be the case as it has been unplugged for a while.
We have no way of switching on the TV the "normal" way. We have to unplug and wait...
I called LG customer services and spoke to Clint who ensured us he will take it up with Executive Applicances. We've received no response from LG or Executive Appliances yet.
We would like a full refund, please
