Broken new iMac and support is useless

Electronics and household app.

I purchased a brand new apple imac and within 2 weeks the screen started flashing. I understand that there may be problems with new equipment but after setting up an appointment and dropping it off, I asked for the iMac to be replaced with a new one which I was told would be no problem. A week later, I was told to collect the Old iMac as someone had missed that this Mac was supposed to be "replaced" not repaired. Once again I took an hour out of my day to go collect it after its repair. Low and behold, when I started it first time, the screen was still flashing. I've spent a lot on my money and a number of hours to get a working pc and to no avail. When I reported it again, I was told I need to make another appointment and drop it off again,

How can Apple allow their South African product be handled by such inept and lazy people? First my instruction to replace it was completely ignored despite being approved, then no one bothered to even turn on the PC to check whether they had fixed it and then they make it my problem to drop it off again.
