REFUSE TON HONOUR WARRANTY

Unfortunately a micro SIM was inserted into a new Galaxy Tab2 t. We took it to a retailer who took a look and advised them they could not assist us as it would invalidated the warranty. They gave us contact details of Darro in Boksburg. When I spoke to Erica she advised me to bring the item through and said the technician would take a look and see if the SIM could be removed. Even over the phone she said that the SIM reader may need to be replaced and it may take a couple of days to get stock. I took the Tab2 through and it was booked for the SIM to be removed. I was told it would be ready on Monday or Tuesday. After I made several follow up calls Erica informed me that the motherboard and the SIM reader needed to be replaced and I would be receiving a quote for over R2000. When I questioned why this was necessary as the tablet is brand new and working when I bought it in. She said the technician said so. This seems highly unlikely as how can something "too small" caused such damage. I asked for the quote in writing and I am still waiting. I think I am being conned
