S4 Active is not rugged and lifeproof

I upgraded to a S4 active because I have an active lifestyle, and needed a phone that can handle the conditions (waterproof especially). I chose the S4 Active because it is "lifeproof" but a small bump on the phone, and the screen is cracked (there goes being waterproof as well). I Phoned Samsung to find out about the ADH policy, and they told me it applies to the S4 and Note3, not the S4 Active? I can't see why they would advertise a phone to be lifeproof, but not cover the damages like they do with the S4?
