Absurd customer support and spares policy

Electronics and household app.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note - N7000 smartphone. I phoned Samsung support to buy/order a new battery. I was told quite impolitely that I 'HAVE TO' go to Vodacom or other cellphone provider. In this case, the cellphone provider would add NO VALUE to the purchase at all. I am Samsung customer, wanting to buy a spare battery from the manufacturer and they wont SELL IT TO ME!!.It's absurd. I'm not interested in some lame story or policy..so please don't bother. There is NO EXCUSE for refusing to sell to me or to order this part for me. Arrogance and poor service!!
