Appointment not honoured

I booked an appointment online last week thursday, to hav the software on my ipad updated. I got there on the friday afternoon, and i was told that they do not have the software for my device. I had to book again. Could they not inform me that they do not have the software for my device. I had to drive across town, for nothing. Thats my time, effort, and fuel wasted!!!
