Samsung phones lose contact

Electronics and household app.
In December I bought a Samsung Pocket GT-5300 cell phone. It kept losing contact with the network but indicates it is connected. It was replaced after 3 repairs in June with a GT-5301. I tried 3 different SIM cards, and it did the same. The replacement is now back for the 3rd time with the same issue. I carry a cheap Nokia for backup and, if ever Vodacom goes down, the Nokua connects again immediately. The Nokia has survived washing and rinsing in a Samsung washing machine but refuses to give up. Two TVs, washer, tumble drier, microwaves, DVD, camera, at home are all Samsung, but latest TV is Telefunken. Samsung has lost pole position in my home. The staff at Vodacom are great and Samsung cares, but the phone is currently in for repairs again. I can't check the Samsung phone every 10 minutes and re-boot if necessary. Sometimes it is connected for 3-4 days, other times an hour. I have two colleagues with different model Samsungs, and they do the same. It's a great gadget, but a lousy phone.
