False Advertising

I December 2012 Samsung ran a promotion whereby you purchase a washing machine and they will pick up your old washing machine, give you R500 voucher, and also give you a liquid soap. I purchased my washing machine on the 29th Dec from Hirches in Strubenvalley. The Saleslady (Bonnie) informed me that she will sort everything with Samsung. On the 7th Jan I contacted her and she told me to phone Samsung directly to register which I immidiately did. The call center agent at Samsung told me someone will phone me to arrange everything. No one phoned me and today I made a follow up and was told I registered late and cannot be assisted anymore.
To me this is really not fair as I bought the unit based on the ad info. No body told me that I need to register let alone registering within 7 day.
Can someone at Samsung assist.
