Refusal to refund = of money

Electronics and household app.

I ordered a dvd recorder in 20 March 2013. It didnt work and I returned it in its orginal packaging to the requested post office on 21 April 2013. Simon Swanich denied having received the parcel for 4 weeks even though the post office confirmed he had it. Eventually on 24 May he admitted to having received my machine and told me it was now ready for refund. That was the last I ever heard from him. I have emailed him, but emails are ignored. I have opened tickets on their website - which are immediately and automatically updated to CLOSED. Many people are in the same situation and have had their money from Simon. I urge other people to contact the National Consumer Ombudsman. They are legally obliged to respond to every complaint, although it may take a while. Perhaps enough complaints will stop this man from from other people. Their email is complaints@thedi.gov.za. (complaints at thedi. gov. za if url is deleted) The fact that Simon hides his business behind an unreachable wall (no phone number, no physical address) should alert other potential victims that he has something to hide.
